Big Secret

Illustrated by Marju Tammik

Iris comes home from kindergarten and sits in the corner of her room. She doesn't talk to her mom. Or her dad. Or her favorite aunt Miriam, who has come to visit. Iris has a BIG SECRET that sits between her stomach and throat and is getting heavier and heavier. Iris doesn't know how to get rid of it. 
The story that won 1st place in the "New Children's Picture Book Competition" is about how sharing a secret makes the heart light again.
Big Secret was also awarded in the selection of 25 most beautiful Estonian books 2024 and 5 most beautiful children's books as well as Best Children's Books in 2024.
In 2025 Big Secret got its first international recognition, being selected among 100 Outstanding Picturebooks by dPictus.

Mommy's Dragon

Illustrated by Marju Tammik

When there are traces of jam on the floor or plum juice spills on Mummy's laptop, the dragon inside Mummy wakes up. Then I sit very quietly on the sofa and try not to disturb Mummy. Once I asked Mummy what her dragon looks like. But Mummy replied that she had never seen her dragon. Only felt it. Mummy said that on a full moon night the dragon would come out of her and we would send it to the moon together.
"Mommy's Dragon" has been published in Spain, Slovenia and Croatia and it has received a honorable recognition by having included into international Children Catalogue "The White Ravens" in 2020. The book has also received the Golden Pear award in Slovenia and has also received several recognitions in Estonia including Great Children's Book of the Year in 2020.

Smart Dog

Illustrated by Marju Tammik

John the dog doesn't know why he can do some things and not others. Why can't he bark in the room or jump on the couch? Why can't he chew books or bite squirrels? The search for answers to these questions leads John to the library, where he discovers that there is a book for every thing and while reading he learns that he even has a passport and his name is not John but actually Jonathan.

"Smart Dog" is a heartfelt and humorous story for preschool and school-age children who can discover why books are the best things in the world.

Child of Night

Illustrated by Lumimari

The night can be scary and full of unknown things. Specially when your mom works a night shift and takes you to spend the night with granny. However, somethings the scariest things are the most interesting, at least for the Child of Night, who only appears when the moonlight shines through the window. Then the adventure begins, because Child of Night knows how to play hide and seek in the dark.

Mr Maru's Blueberry Shop

Illustrated by Joonas Sildre

Maru thinks the world is unfair because he has to go to kindergarten. In fact, he would like to go to school to study business management, to be like his father, who is a businessman in Japan. Instead, he is sent to a summer camp where an invention competition begins. Fortunately, he overcomes all his fears and finds a great solution.

The heartfelt book shows us the way into the life of a special boy and is made even more exciting by comic style illustrations. The book was also a runner up for the Tartu Children's Literature Award 2023.

Secret of the Lost Sock

Illustrated by Marion Undusk

Piret Jaaks's first children's book, which tells the Christmas story about the friendship between a modest sock named Volli and his rat companion, with whom they wander through the house to find the sock's missing match. Along the way, they meet strange characters who either help or hinder the pair from reaching their goal. The book has inviting illustrations by Marion Undusk that convey both a fairytale and adventurous atmosphere.
